The Blues Down Under Concert Series was created and developed to help keep the blues alive; and to route national talent into Springfield, MO. throughout the year. Live music lover, Monte Lorts, works with local clubs to bring in the best contemporary blues artists on the touring circuit and to introduce new, upcoming acts he discovers while traveling to the International Blues Competition and festivals around the country. BDU shows are currently featured at Cartoons Oyster Bar & Grille, the new Tier 3, and Lindberg’s. It was, and continues to be, a "grass roots" movement that has created loyal fans and an atmosphere of friendship and mutual appreciation for live blues music.
