The Blues Down Under Concert Series was created and developed by partners Monte Lorts and Tom Morris to help keep the blues alive; and to bring national talent into Springfield, MO. throughout the year. They work to bring back the artists people enjoy annually at the Greater Ozarks Blues Festival; and to introduce new and upcoming acts they discover at the International Blues Competition and at other festivals around the country.
The series began in the lower level of the Shine Mosque. It was, and continues to be, a "grass roots" movement that has created loyal fans and an atmosphere of friendship and mutual appreciation for contemporary blues music. Click here for upcoming shows.
